Young @ Heart Senior Ministry
Here at Lone Oak we refer to the senior generation of the church as “Young @ Heart Seniors.” Everyone is challenged to exercise their gifts in effective and meaningful ways that bring glory to God and edifies His family.
Senor Adult Christians are valuable to God and are equipped for a special ministry at this stage of life. Spiritual maturity is not always defined by chronological age, but the senior adult generation, for a number of reasons, is generally expected to have obtained a level of spiritual maturity that Jehovah God values as useful for a unique intergenerational ministry. It is important that the senior generation understand this and feel good about our senior years. Because of knowledge, experience, and maturity seniors are uniquely equipped for a purposeful and useful ministry in Christ.
